We were shopping for different locations in the southern states to retire to, we came to the Rio Grande Valley to visit family. While my friends were at home in Illinois shoveling a foot of snow, I was at Victoria Palms Resort, laying by the pool, listening to a band play music under a cabana. The many palm trees were swaying in the breeze as I sipped my "iced tea" and chatted with newly made friends. They call these little gatherings with a band by the pool a "sip and dip" here at Victoria Palms Resort. I start my mornings off with line dancing classes, I enjoy the fresh fruits and veggies from the traveling farmers market that visits the resort every Friday, I enjoy all of the wonderful "Branson" type productions and local entertainment that they bring to our ballroom, we have a restaurant in the resort that serves a wonderful Sunday brunch and Friday night all you can eat fish fry, and the residents make this place so special that I refer to Victoria Palms Resort as a secret Disneyland for adults.
